ICE - Shrek The Halls

We had a wonderful time at the Gaylord Texas Resort - ICE Exhibit. The theme was Shrek The Halls which was perfect for the kids. They LOVE Shrek! For those of you who may not have heard about this, it's an exhibit of characters made completely out of ice. Even many of the walls and doorways were ice. It was a challenge getting Anna to wear the giant blue parka, but once she got to all the sculptures, she was loving every minute of it!! It was a chilly 9 degrees in there... the kids had hats, gloves, and winter coats under their parkas... Marc and I weren't so smart and our fingers were frozen for quite a while :)

This was definitely something I want to do again as a family. I know the kids enjoyed it and it was a great way to kick off the Christmas season! (yes, I know it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but this is when it worked out for us to go). Enjoy the pictures and if you're ever in DFW for Christmas, you have to do the ICE Exhibit!!

She wasn't a fan of the huge jackets at first, but she was over it pretty quickly

Poor Joseph was swimming in his jacket

First look at all the Shrek Ice

Very excited!!

Haha! Maybe this should be our Christmas card!

Joseph about to slide

It literally took him more than a minute to get down the slide. He didn't quite understand to lift his feet up so he could go faster. The lady at the top helping couldn't stop laughing!! We couldn't either :)

Anna did much better at sliding (glad she had on leggings)

Joseph loved Dragon and all the characters in this room the best

What a fun family night!!

The true meaning of Christmas! Happy Birthday, Jesus!
