In 2012, we took the kids to Disneyland to celebrate Anna's 5th birthday and the fact that she was going to start Kindergarten that fall. Of course, while we were there, we discussed how we'd have to do the same thing for Joseph when he turned 5. After the amazing time we had 2 years ago, we were really excited to know we'd be going back for Joseph. So, on April 26, we woke the kids up early to a surprise. They had NO idea we had planned this trip to Disneyland and to say they were excited is an understatement! Mickey and Minnie were on the couch with balloons of their favorite Disney characters along with a ticket telling them they were on their way to California for the week. I had spent the day before packing so as soon as the kids were dressed, we were ready to go!
We got to Anaheim around lunch time and headed to Long Beach. We went the Aquarium of the Pacific and saw so many cool things. The aquarium is shaped like a whale if you look at the floor plan. We took a harbor tour, pet stingrays and sharks, and saw a 4D Turtle movie. After the day at the aquarium, we headed to our hotel and then to Target to stock up our hotel fridge. We spent the evening in Downtown Disney going into stores and and dining on delicious Cajun food and beignets. Then it was time to go to bed so we'd be ready for a big day at Disneyland in the morning!!
