Minnesota/Wisconsin Trip

We took a family trip with Grandmommy, Grandpa, and Auntie Beth to Minnesota and Wisconsin for the 4th of July. We started by flying in to Minneapolis where we met up with my cousins. It was great to see Eric, Kristina, Kelly, and Elsa. We went to a delicious seafood place that's in a huge park. The kids had a blast running around. We rented a pedal cart thing to ride around the park. Of course it was the adults that had to do all the work pedaling :)

The next morning we got up and drove to Mary and Don's lake house in Wisconsin. We spent our days on the boat, our evenings playing cornhole, and our nights back on the boat. It was so relaxing! On July 4, we watched fireworks from the middle of the lake. The kids loved guessing where the next fireworks were coming from. People shot their own fireworks from their boat docks all around the lake. One of the evenings we went into Hayward and walked around. We got candy from a huge candy store and just enjoyed the much cooler weather.

When it was time to go back to Minnesota, we made a pit stop in Chippewa Falls to visit the Leinenkugel Brewery. For as much beer as they make, it's a pretty small brewery. We spent the most time in the gift shop! Once we were back in Minneapolis, we ate some yummy Italian food and went to a hotel to prepare for our last day. That last day was spent at the amusement park inside the Mall of America. Wow! The kids loved all the rides. Anna even rode her first loop-to-loop roller coaster. Grandmommy and Grandpa rode all the rides with us! What an awesome trip!
