Howdy Folks!

On Saturday, we headed to the Fair! Back in the spring, we bought tickets to see the Lion King at the Music Hall at Fair Park. We didn't realize it was going to be during the State Fair of Texas until they emailed us to tell us parking would be a nightmare... So, we decided to go to the fair early and play until the musical started. It was our first cool day of fall and there was a little drizzle, but it didn't stop us from having a great time. This was the first time the kids went to the fair. I'm sure they will beg us to go every year now. Big Tex was the first stop. The kids enjoyed listening to him telling us about all the sights to see at the fair. Another favorite of the fair was the car show. Who knew kids would enjoy getting into a ton of different cars? Anna took a liking to convertibles... we're in trouble in about 10 years! :) The rides were fun and of course the corn dogs were delicious.

We decided to head to the Music Hall about 45 minutes before the show. About a week ago, I was looking at the Dallas Summer Musicals website and noticed that this showing of Lion King was the Kid's Club showing, so I signed the kids up for the free musicals club. Good thing I did! Radio Disney was there doing games and activities for kids in the club. The kids got to color Lion King pictures, participate in a hula hoop contest, and enjoy some lemonade and cookies. The Lion King is AMAZING!! If it's ever in your area or if you're deciding on a show to see on Broadway, Lion King will not disappoint. (This was my 3rd time to see it and it's still awesome). The kids LOVED it and I'm so glad we decided to take them!

This is another picture I display life size in the privacy of my home in one of my large digital picture displays where I really enjoy stopping by and kissing her.
