Disney World Day 1

Disney World!!! It's huge and tons of fun, so I've broken down our trip by day. Granny and Papa wanted to go with the kids (and us too) to Disney World, so Marc and Papa planned an excellent vacation. We had been to Disneyland a year earlier, so we knew to expect lots of walking, tired kids, waiting in lines, etc. The kids handled it like pros... maybe because 2 years in a row of going to a Disney Park will make you a pro :)

We started our first day at Animal Kingdom. We did the Bug's Life show which included some interesting effects to make you feel like you were a bug. The kids enjoyed that. Then we headed over to Dinoland where we rode a ride that took you through some pretty big and somewhat scary dinosaurs. Both kids declined to ride that one again, but the grown ups liked it. We met several characters throughout the day. We had made reservations at Tusker House to eat with Donald, Daisy and Goofy. It was a delicious buffet! We then went on a safari to see all the animals. That was very cool!! We ran into a few more characters and then headed out to see what Hollywood Studios had to offer.

We then went to Hollywood Studios which ended up being one of our favorite places. They had Disney Jr. stuff, a lot of Pixar stuff, and the favorite of the trip, Star Tours (the Star Wars ride). We started with the Muppets 3D show. Funny stuff! Then Joseph met Lightning McQueen and Mater. Then began the kids' obsessions with Star Wars. I never thought my 6 year old girl would love Star Wars as much as she does. We did several other rides and shows and really enjoyed the park.
