Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas!
We had a wonderful Christmas this year and hope you all did too. The kids wore their matching Christmas outfits to church on Sunday and had to pose in front of the tree for me. There may have been some chocolate incentives to get them to cooperate... They looked beautiful!

We spent Christmas Eve at Granny and Papa's house. The kids headed straight for their stockings and wanted to open presents immediately. They got so many nice things! Anna's American Girl doll, Marie Grace, now has several new outfits. Joseph is getting into super heroes now and got a cool Batman cave to play with. One of my favorites is the veterinarian costume that Joseph got from Auntie Amy. So cute! The tradition of poppers and wearing paper crowns at dinner continued this year. After a very nice day at the Spitzenberger's house, we headed to church for the candlelight service and carol singing.

Christmas with Granny and Papa

On Christmas morning, the kids woke up to new bikes and other awesome toys from Santa and we spent time as just a little family opening our presents to and from each other. The kids were very happy with everything they got. Marc and I were surprised by each other's gifts too especially since we both went over the spending limit.  :)

After we finished opening presents at home, we headed to Grandmommy and Grandpa's house. Again, the kids headed straight for their stockings and presents. Joseph got a pop gun and some Jake & the Neverland Pirates toys and Anna got some handmade clothes and accessories for her American Girl doll. She even got a nightgown that matches and wanted to put it on right away. She may have spent the next 2 days straight in that nightgown. :)
We ate a delicious meal and then we were treated to some snow! It was a White Christmas in Texas after a 70 degree weekend. Only in Texas! The kids went out totally under-dressed to play in the snow for a bit. It sure was relaxing to watch. Leinie even enjoyed his first taste of snow.
