Happy Easter

We had a busy but fun Easter weekend. A little earlier in the week we dyed some eggs. The kids did pretty much all of it (minus the boiling) and Anna even liked eating the eggs. Joseph liked cracking them open...

On Good Friday, we spend the day at the Arboretum with Grandmommy, Grandpa, and Granny. Anna was a little grouchy until we saw a bride there getting her portraits taken. Once she got to take a picture with the bride, she was all grins the rest of the day. So that explains why there are more pictures of Joseph at the Arboretum... he was much more cooperative. :)

After getting some lunch, we headed to Clifton, TX to Marc's parents' "Lazy S Ranch" and that's exactly how we spent the day... Lazily! The kids got Easter presents from Granny and Papa and then did an egg hunt out in the beautiful weather. The bunny strategically placed some eggs in the bluebonnets since the kids weren't fond of having their picture taken there before the eggs. So we were able to sneak our spring bluebonnet pictures into this weekend.

Saturday morning we drove to Giddings for the annual Spitzenberger Easter celebration. The kids loved playing with all the great-grandkids and even got birthday presents (they celebrate spring/early summer birthdays at the Easter get-together). Anna can't stop talking about how cool it was to get birthday presents even though she's still just 4. :)

On Sunday, the Easter bunny visited while we were at church. I'm pretty sure he knew we had to be at church very early so he figured he'd let us get our sleep. Thanks, bunny! The kids sprinted through the house finding eggs. They were thrilled about their presents too. It took some bribery in the form of candy to get them to sit by each other this year for a picture...

 After naps we headed over to Grandmommy and Grandpa's house for Easter with them. They had one more egg hunt for the kids (if anyone wants any Easter candy, please come take as much as you want!!). The bunny had his usual hiding place in the chandelier. After a dinner that was WAY better than any restaurant could have done, we just relaxed. The kids enjoyed having Grandpa read to them too.
