This past weekend was filled with family and airplanes! Steve was flying his F-15 in the Alliance Air Show in Ft. Worth, so we went to see him. We also had some family from out of town come in for the show. My Uncle Mark and Aunt Renee came from Minnesota (they had been in Austin the week before, so it was perfect timing for them to swing through and see Steve fly). My cousin Nick and his wife Amanda and their sweet kids, Abby and Matthew, came from Austin and stayed with us. Joseph and Anna really enjoyed having them around to play with. April and Brantley were here too so we got to spend time with them as well.
Friday night we had Nick, Amanda, Abby, Matthew, Beth, April, and Brantley come over for dinner and my parents and Uncle Mark & Aunt Renee came over for dessert a little later. We had a really nice time just watching all the little cousins play and catching up with each other.
Saturday was the air show. Man, was it cool! I wasn't sure how much Anna and Joseph were going to like it, but they really enjoyed all the little stunt planes. They stood as close as they could to see Uncle "Buda" (Steve) fly. They got to wave at him as he headed down the runway to take off and again after he landed. His flight was around 15 minutes long and the kids watched the whole thing! Every time he got close to us, they covered their ears, but they kept watching regardless. I'm so proud of my brother and a little jealous of his job :)
Here are pictures from the weekend (I took well over 100 of Steve actually flying, but didn't want to upload all of them. You're welcome!)
