Washington DC

Our busy summer has included a trip to Washington DC for a wedding of a close family friend. Anna did so well on the airplane and even surprised me with how much she was able to do and see without napping... and without being cranky because of not napping!! She was treated like royalty the entire time we were there. At the rehearsal dinner, the groom's family ordered her own special meal for her; a fruit plate, chicken tenders and fries, and her own ice cream! Even at the wedding reception, she got her own special entree! It must be nice to be so cute and get everything. :)


She spent most of the time at the reception on the dance floor. She danced with Daddy, Grandpa, and even put on a little show of her own. It looked like she was cleaning the floor since she scooted around on her knees and her dress was just the right length to sweep the floor. Someday she'll figure out that her feet are much easier to walk on...

After all the wedding celebrations, we stayed a few more days to tour DC. Our friends David and Melanie were vacationing in DC as well so we did our touring with them. They were also reinforcements for Anna in case mommy and daddy ran out of things to entertain her with. We had a wonderful time and made some great memories as a family and with our friends.

Just a little tired after having to walk around the entire Tidal Basin to get to the Jefferson Memorial... but I didn't complain about it! And I won a bet for not complaining!!
