Spring Break 2013

Spring Break is always a fun week. We tend to do the same things each year, but the kids don't mind. We were also lucky to have Auntie Amy and Cousin Ogden in town for the week so we got to hang out a lot with them. We spent a day at the Arboretum admiring the tulips and the cool, spring weather. The kids did their usual playtime in the little cottages. This year there is a new slide that's built onto one of the "house" exhibits. Definitely a hit for these kids.

Hooray for tulips!
We spend a day at the zoo as well. This time we met up with 2 of Joseph's classmates and one of Anna's classmates. It was fun to see them all outside of school. As we were walking past the lions, the big daddy lion got up on a rock and began to roar! It was so loud it sounded like they had him on a microphone. But they didn't. And it was awesome! Joseph especially liked listening to him. We were able to catch a bird show that the kids really liked. How someone trains a bird is beyond me, but it kept a very large audience entertained for quite a while. The weather was perfect again and we had a fun time at the zoo.

The kids spent their down time just playing at home. Anna's room was having some work done, so they had to be creative at times. I love these goofy kids!
