Snow and Ice

As the entire world knows, Dallas has been covered in ice all week long (pretty funny that this is Super Bowl week and the whole city is freaking out)... and in my 20 years in Plano, I've never had this many "snow days" in a row! The kids got to go to school on Monday (hooray!) and have been home since then. We've had to be creative with finding things to do. Joseph really got into Mr. Potato Head and Anna spent most of her time with Play-doh. We even converted our ottoman/toy box into a movie-watching spot for the kids. Thanks to a quick phone call from my mom with a new recipe, we made snow ice cream today after lunch! It doesn't seem like the kids have caught cabin fever, but Marc and I sure have a bad case of it! Oh well, the sun is shining as I write this and I hear the snow melting off the roof, so this lock-in shouldn't last too much longer. Here's to a warmer weekend! Oh, and GO PACKERS!!
