Anna's Surgery

After several ear infections in a short amount of time, we had tubes put in Anna's little ears. She was such a trooper. We got to the hospital really early Friday morning for her surgery at 7:00. The nurse got Anna all ready to go in her Looney Tunes hospital gown, which was just a little big on her... but she still wore it beautifully! The doctor arrived about 10 minutes before she was supposed to go in, so he went ahead and took her in early. The toughest part was letting someone else take her from us to go operate on her. But we trusted the doctor and had prayed and continued to pray for her through the procedure. Just about 10 minutes later, the doctor came back out and told us everything went perfectly!! And a few minutes after that, they took us back to recovery to get her!

Poor baby didn't get to eat breakfast, so we fed her in recovery as she came out of anesthesia. Once she was fully awake, she was as happy as she's ever been! It's as if she didn't miss a beat by going into surgery. We were absolutely amazed at how she reacted after we got home. She was noticing new sounds and enjoying her toys much more than she did before! Praise God for a safe, successful surgery!

Watching the nurse put her ID bracelets on

Waving to the camera (well, cell phone..._)

Her doctor gave her a Get Well present to play with.

At home after surgery... you would never know it took place!

Now that she can hear much better she's ready to rock out with us on Rock Band!

Poor baby. Looks like she handled it even better than you did, I am sure. I know how that feels.
